Lyndsay and Claude responded quickly to our requests for help and information. They were always personable and informative. They were always professional in the work they did with good equipment and adequate work force to do each stage of the installation. They were instrumental in getting inspections and certifications completed in a timely fashion. Although weather hampered full completion of the replacement of all soil they left the septic bed in complete working order and we are confident they will return when weather permits to level the soil to allow for landscaping in the spring.

Septic Tank Pumping

New to the Septic World? Here's 3 things you should know:

Regular Maintenance is Extremely Important: Regular pump outs and effluent filter cleaning are essential to maintaining your septic system’s efficiency.

Water Usage Does Matter! Be mindful of your water usage. Excessive water can overload the system. Fix any leaks promptly and consider water-efficient fixtures as soon as you can.

Always Do Septic-Safe Practices: Only flush human waste and toilet paper. Avoid pouring fats, oils, chemicals, or non-biodegradable items down the drains.

Septic Repairs

Clarington Septic Repairs offers professional repairs to septic systems such as baffle replacement and cracked pipe replacement. If you have started to notice some indications that your septic tank is not functioning properly, then it is important to get it looked at as soon as possible. Some of these indications include drains that are draining slowly, an odour in your backyard, soggy grass over the septic tank area, and the backup of your household pipes.

Septic Riser Install

If you’re tired of digging up your septic tank every time you need it pumped, then our septic riser installation service is perfect for you. We’ll install septic tank risers over your lids, so that you can easily access your tank without having to do any digging. This will save you time and hassle, and keep your yard looking neat and tidy. Plus, our risers are made from durable materials that will withstand the elements, so you can rest assured that they’ll last for years to come. Contact us today to learn more about our septic riser installation service.

Septic Filter Install

Septic tanks collect waste water and solids, which are then broken down by bacteria. The resulting effluent is then discharged into your septic bed (sometimes called leaching field). Septic filters are now required by the Ontario building code, in order to prevent solids from clogging the leaching field lines. Septic filters need to be cleaned every 6-9 months, in order to prevent them from becoming overwhelmed and clogged. We offer a septic filter installation service as well as a septic filter cleaning program which is designed to take the hassle out of this necessary task, so you can rest assured that your septic system is running smoothly.

Septic System Designs

Whether your current system has stopped working, you’re looking to build an addition on your current house or you are thinking about a new build, you may be looking for a septic system design that is ministry approved and specifically designed for your property. At Clarington Septic Repair we design septic systems that are tailored to meet the unique needs of your property. We take into account the size of your property, the soil type, and the size of your house to ensure that your septic system is up to code and will function properly for years to come. We help homeowners with the entire process, from test hole digs, soil sample analysis, septic system design and the permit application with the local health department. Call us today to learn more about our custom septic system designs!

Septic Tank Pumping

Although we don’t pump septic tanks, your septic tank should be pumped every 3-5 years to be properly maintained. The timeframe between each pumping is usually determined by the size of the tank, how many people live in your house and the age of your system. A septic tank separates the waste into three parts; at the top, you will find a thicker “cake like area”, this is where the lighter stuff floats to the top and thickens over time, the middle consists of the wastewater which drains into the leaching field, and at the bottom, you will find the a thicker waste known as sludge. The sludge is what needs to be pumped out of the septic tank. Call one of the recommended professionals for septic tank pumping services.

4 Reasons Why Regular Maintenance of Your Septic is Important

Here are some reasons why regular septic system maintenance is crucial:

  1. Prevent costly repairs: Regular maintenance, such as pumping the tank every 3-5 years, can help prevent costly repairs or even replacement of the septic system. Neglecting to pump the tank can cause solids to build up and eventually clog the system, leading to backups and potential damage to the tank or drain field.

  2. Avoid health hazards: A poorly maintained septic system can contaminate groundwater and surface water, leading to serious health hazards. Raw sewage contains harmful bacteria, viruses, and parasites that can cause serious illnesses, especially to those with weakened immune systems, such as children and the elderly.

  3. Protect the environment: Septic systems can harm the environment if not properly maintained. If the effluent leaks from the system, it can pollute nearby streams, rivers, and lakes, leading to environmental damage and the loss of aquatic life.

  4. Increase the lifespan of the system: Regular maintenance can help increase the lifespan of your septic system. A well-maintained system can last for decades, while a neglected one may need replacement after only a few years.
